Darrell Wenzek
Pastor
People need God; they need to know the Word of God. I am comfortable with being a conservative, Spirit-filled, pastor, teacher and patriot.
I believe the Bible is the Word of God, and a relationship with Jesus Christ is essential.
The whole Bible should be taught, and my calling is to assist others to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Clint Bryner
Elder – Fellowship
Clint worked in the marine construction industry for more than four (4) decades in electrical drafting and the design of electrical systems. As a young man he grew up in the industry and worked in the boatyards from being an individual contributor to a more accomplished designer and foreman.
“God has given me a heart to serve at South Whidbey Community Church,” says Clint. Come join us on a Sunday morning, I would love to get to know you.

Brett Richter
Elder – Building & Grounds
Brett has been married to his wife, Wendy, for more than 40 years, and they have called Whidbey Island home since 1990. They owned and operated a small business on the island for 30 years. Today he works as a farmer, sawyer, and small equipment operator.
Raised in the church, he gave his heart to Jesus as a young teenager and has continued to grow in his faith and serve the Lord throughout his life.
As an Elder, he oversees the Building and Grounds ministry, using his practical skills and experience to help care for the church facilities and create a welcoming place for the church family to worship and fellowship.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART. AND DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT.

Worship and Security
I believe that the whole Bible is the word of God. We shouldn’t add to or take away from it. Instead, we should continue to study it in all languages and interpretations and pray for understanding.
With that said, I’m a big fan of Ephesians, especially the full armor of God (Eph. 6:10 ). I also think it’s important as Christians that we recognize that they will know you are Christian through your love.
I have played music for a long time and am happy to be part of the Worship Team playing bass.
